About the author: Matthew Finck grew up in a musical family surrounded by jazz greats such as Anthony Braxton and Roswell Rudd. After graduating cum laude from Long Island University in 1997 he paid his dues working the New York music scene for several years and studying with Eddie Diehl, Jack Wilkins and Gene Bertoncini. He has performed with Randy Brecker, Steve Wilson, Roswell Rudd and many other notable musicians and entertainers. his current projects include Fat Mink and The Matthew Finck-Jonathan Ball Project as well as teaching at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y.
